"Before I fell in love with Rodney, I couldn't see beauty in black people. I didn't even look for the beauty in black people. Here’s the confession of the day - the first time Rodney kissed me, all I could see was my parents’ faces. I was imagining what they would say if they saw me kissing Rodney - probably something like, 'Oh my God!' When you are in a multiracial relationship, you start seeing beauty in all races. I feel like somebody took a blindfold out of my eyes, and I started appreciating people for who they are, not because of what color they are."
